This work is an orchestral expression of Psalm 9, with the first section expressing the
praise-themed verses scattered through the psalm, such as verses 1-2 and verse 11. Also expressing verses 9-10, 13-14, and 18. Then there is a section (1:46)
featuring french horn, with piano and percussion, expressing the majesty, glory and honor of the LORD, or the 4 Hebrew letters
of His name, Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey. Next (2:24) the piece begins to express some of the verses dealing with God's
righteous judgment (verses 3-6), with more foreboding sounds, which will be interrupted by more happy sounds again, evoking rejoicing
as in verse 2 (3:19), and then later (3:40 on...) dealing more fully with the theme of judgment and God's glory, with sounds basically lifting him up,
in his honor and majesty and righteous judgment (verses 7-8, 12, 15-17, 19-20).
I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart

But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment...
